Last week, they submitted 75 proposed voir dire questions — inquiries lawyers make to exclude a certain number of jurors — to U.S. Southern District Judge Rodney Smith, who will preside over the trial, set to begin Tuesday.

On the heels of losing his last attempt to delay the April 10 federal trial for violating the rights of a couple of Little Havana businessmen — including Bill Fuller, who owns Ball & Chain Bar — a U.S. Southern District judge denied several motions filed by Carollo’s attorneys to. make ridiculous arguments and granted all the motions filed by the plaintiffs.

No, it’s not El Gran Combo. But it sounds just like them.

There’s a new parody song and video about the man chicken protesting Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo who was arrested at Maurice Ferre Park at the grand opening of the dog and cat sculptures walk last month. The video was posted this week on YouTube. This one is in Spanish, sung to the tune of Don Goyo, a popular salsa number interpreted by El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico in 1971, and a staple at many 80s quinceñeras.
